    How to crop image

    1. Add your image. It appears below at a comfortable working size.
    2. Choose a ratio — free, or locked 1:1, 4:3, 3:2, 16:9 — then drag across the picture to mark the area to keep.
    3. Check the readout: the selection size is shown in true original pixels, not preview pixels.
    4. Press Crop & download — the crop is cut from the full-resolution original.

    Good to know

The preview is scaled down to fit your screen, but the cut is not: cropping always samples the original file at full resolution, so a small-looking selection can still yield a large, sharp image. Portrait photos for documents usually want 3:4-style ratios; marketplace and profile pictures are almost always 1:1.

    Frequently asked questions

    Which ratio do I need?

Profile pictures: 1:1. YouTube/video thumbnails and slides: 16:9. Classic photos: 3:2 or 4:3. Anything else: free.

    Does cropping reduce quality?

The kept area is copied from the original pixels at full quality (JPG/WebP re-encode at 92%). Nothing is upscaled.

Can I crop a screenshot to one window?

Yes — add the screenshot and drag tightly around the window. Resize afterwards if the target box has exact pixels.

    Is my photo uploaded?

No. Cropping runs in your browser tab, on your device.
