The saved file is genuinely re-drawn in the new orientation, so it displays upright everywhere — including old software that ignores the orientation tag phones write into photos. Why does my photo keep showing sideways in some apps?
Many phones only record a "rotate me" note in the file instead of rotating the pixels. This tool rotates the actual pixels, ending the problem everywhere.
Does rotating reduce quality?
PNG and WebP are lossless here. JPG is re-encoded once at 95% — a single careful pass, invisible in normal use.
What is the difference between flip and rotate?
