    How to resize image

    1. Add your image. Its current dimensions appear in the size boxes.
    2. Set the new size. Type a width or height — with the lock on, the other side follows automatically — or pick a percentage.
    3. Press Resize image. The image is redrawn at exactly your dimensions.
    4. Download the resized copy; the original stays untouched.

    Good to know

Shrinking is safe; enlarging cannot invent detail, so a small image blown up will look soft — the tool allows it, but warns you here instead: start from the largest original you have. Resizing to a form's exact pixel box (a common demand for ID photos and marketplace listings) avoids the platform re-cropping your picture for you.

    Frequently asked questions

What size do upload forms usually want?

Common boxes: 300×300 or 600×600 for profile and product photos, 1200×630 for social sharing, 1920 wide for website heroes. Check the form’s own note first — exact beats approximate.

Why does the other box change when I type?

That is the aspect-ratio lock keeping proportions true. Untick it only if you deliberately want to stretch the image.

Will resizing shrink the file size too?

Smaller dimensions almost always mean a smaller file. For the tightest result, resize first, then run Compress Image.

    Is my image uploaded?

Never — resizing happens in your browser.
