How to split pdf
- Add your PDF. Drop the document you want to split into the box above.
- Choose a mode. "Every page" makes one PDF per page; "Page ranges" builds one PDF per range you type, such as 1-3, 5, 8-10.
- Press Split PDF. Your browser cuts the document on the spot — nothing is uploaded.
- Download. A single result downloads directly; several results arrive packed in one ZIP.
Good to know
Splitting copies pages exactly as they are, so text, links and quality survive untouched. Ranges are counted from 1, just like your PDF reader shows them. If a range reaches past the end of the document, the tool stops and tells you the real page count instead of guessing.
Frequently asked questions
Can I split a PDF into more than two parts?
Yes. In ranges mode, every comma-separated range becomes its own file — 1-3, 4-6, 7-9 produces three PDFs in one ZIP.
Will splitting reduce the quality?
No. Pages are copied, not re-rendered, so the split files look exactly like the original document.
Is my PDF uploaded to a server?
Never. The splitting runs in this browser tab on your device — try it in airplane mode if you want proof.
Why did I get a ZIP file?
When a split produces more than one PDF, they are bundled into a single ZIP so you download everything in one click.
